| SANTA CLARA, Calif., (May
25, 2005) - Alliance Semiconductor Corporation [NASDAQ: ALSC], a leading
worldwide provider of analog and mixed signal products, high-performance
memory products and connectivity & networking solutions for the communications,
computing, embedded, industrial and consumer markets, today announced
the availability of its ASM6300 CPU supervisory product family in tiny
footprint SC70 packaging. The new product family is available in a wide
range of reset voltage and reset timing combinations that spawn 10 distinct
products with 217 voltages and reset timing combinations per product.
These products are low-power and cost effective CPU supervisory solutions
addressing a wide range of applications in wire-line and wireless telecom,
computer, consumer, industrial and medical markets. "Based on the success of our first generation CPU supervisory products in the market, we are leveraging our experience in design and manufacturing engineering to offer the widest range of second generation low-power, low-voltage CPU supervisory solutions," said Samuel Leung, director of marketing, Analog and Mixed Signal business unit for Alliance. "This series of CPU supervisors is addressing the application needs of new, smaller and more power efficient consumer electronics that will be introduced over the next few years." Designed in a sub-micron CMOS process, Alliance's CPU supervisors operate on power levels that are 20-40 percent less than other typical supervisory products currently available in the market. Supervisor products provide system designers an easy and simple solution to monitoring and detecting problems related to power supply instability and provide them with an assured and safe system operation. The table below summarizes the features offered in the ASM6300 product family that address the needs required in low-voltage, low-power handheld devices and embedded system applications. Alliance Semiconductor ASM6300 series CPU Supervisor Products
